We sleep with hope
We wake with prayers
Yet we rise to see
The numbers increase.
Still we hope
For yet another day
Maybe this time, we'll smile.
With each rain
Comes another hope
The hope of the infirmity being washed away
So we can inhale the sweetness of health.
But, 'when?' has becomes the silent question of our hope.
We have become heroes of ourselves
Facing our fears
For the need to fend
Because what?
Man must survive.
Still we hope.
That one day
Just one day, this will end
For it is just a bend, but not our end.
Though it tarries
Forward we look
To better times, better days and brighter smiles.
We won't despair
For with each day
Comes the rising of our hope.
We are who we are
Tough and resilient
Trusting in God
And NO!
We won't let the darkness of reality
Dim the brightness of our hope.
But like a candle in the dark
Still our hope will stand,
Unwavering.
